DEAN OF STUDENTS
The Dean of Students’ Office is within the institutions’ tuition block at the main campus. The Dean oversees students’ welfare as well as accommodation services. The institution has departmental Deans of Students committed to fostering a conducive learning environment and interest within the Department to nurture the trainees’ overall development. The Dean of Students office works closely with the Departmental Deans and the Student Council and serves as a liaison between the Administration and the trainees. Individual students are free to see the Dean whenever there is a need. The operations are within the Institutional Policies and Regulations, the College Rules and Regulations, and the Student Council Constitution.
Our Mission is to promote the development of applicable skills, values, knowledge, and attitudes that enhance the students’ self-discovery and empowerment, preparing them to meet the challenges of a competitive and changing world. The students learn to balance their academic life with activities outside the classroom, get to broaden their horizons, enrich their life experiences, and make lifelong friends, and in the end, will find their time here well-spent college life colorful, and campus experiences rewarding
Accommodation facilities are limited and offered on a first-come, first-serve upon completion of the fee payment. Trainees are encouraged to make their accommodation arrangements. Meals are served on a pay as you eat basis.
The Student Council, commonly known as RIATTU, is the institution’s student association governing body. All registered students are members of this Association. RIATTU works with the students, academic departments, and Administration on activities and policies related to the student community’s overall well-being and interest. The RIATTU is composed of the Executive, Ministers, and Senators.
The students’ Elections are conduction by an elections committee, which is constituted in the electioneering term. The committee comprises representatives from all the departments, staff members, and any other persons appointed at the election time.
Clubs and societies
Clubs and societies provide a great way to get involved, develop leadership skills, pursue personal interests, engage in community service, and form a network of friends and contacts from the various nationalities in the institution.
At RIAT, students are kept active in different extra-curricular activities. The Sports Office coordinates sports activities. RIAT Sports teams have represented the institution in various leagues within and outside the Region. To engage as many students as possible in sports, the institution provides participatory sports programs. Students are encouraged to participate in sporting activities for leisure, recreation, and the development of talents.
