MESSAGE FROM THE REGISTRAR
The registrar’s office has various aspects of the Institutes’ academic programs, administration, and management. These include providing information to prospective students on admission, overseeing academic management policies and ensuring they are adhered to, organizing examinations, and maintaining student’s records.
The registry covers the following areas:
- Registration/ Admissions
Deals with admissions, registration, enrollment, and keeping all student records. The section oversees the preparation of transcripts and letters of admission.
For Diploma Level and CBET level 6 courses, a minimum of C-(Minus) grade at Form IV, Craft Certificate and CBET Level 5 Courses a minimum of D (PLAIN) at Form IV. Artisan and CBET 4 Level Courses a minimum of grade D- (MINUS)/ pass in Standard Eight.
Deals with all matters of internal and external examinations, including registration of candidates for exams, scheduling internal examinations, communicating with external examining bodies (KNEC, NITA, KASNEB, TVET-CDACC)
- Marketing/ Outreach
Deals with the awareness creation on the various courses offered for different cadres.
- Performance Contracting
The Institute strategizes on how it seeks to deploy resources allocated to it by the government and utilization, which must be verified and validated according to government procedures.
